The Lemon Tonkotsu at Tatsunoya Ramen was a special feature during the month of June 2023. This unique bowl started with a base of their expertly crafted pork broth, a recipe honed over decades at the shop. Thin slices of lemon, green onions, and black pepper topped off the dish, pairing with thin, delicate noodles. The lemon cut through the richness of the pork, offering a refreshing contrast that brightened the bowl. While the inclusion of a slice of chashu would have been welcomed, the Lemon Tonkotsu was, overall, good.
As we move into July, we bid farewell to this limited-time dish, a testament to Tatsunoya Ramen’s consistent high standards. Remember, this enticing bowl was a one-month special for June 2023. Hopefully, Tatsunoya will continue to mix things up with more interesting limited-time specials in future.
